Objets d'Histoires
My brief

Design of the site for Objets d’Histoires, a valuation practice for furniture heritage and decorative art objects.

Two contradictory demands met here: the home page had to be airy, almost museum-like, and the object record had to say everything. Signature, workshop, period, condition, estimate, exhibitions, museums, bibliography. The first breathes around a single piece set on white, the second owns its density, with the characteristics table laid flat and the expert’s commentary facing it.

A black brushstroke runs across the sections: it serves as the break between those two registers of reading.
